Interim Director of the Kirk Singer Choir
Ms. Gretchen Fasulo steps into the role of Interim Director of the Kirk Singer Choir. Gretchen grew up at First Pres, singing in the Kirk Singers, participating in musicals and tours, and spending her summers as a student intern. For the past 25 years, she has faithfully served on our staff, leading children’s choirs, shaping the musical and spiritual lives of generations. A Stetson University graduate and award-winning educator at Pine Crest School, Gretchen directs choirs across grades 2–12 and has been honored as Teacher of the Year and Broward County Arts Teacher of the Year. She brings deep love for this church, extraordinary gifts, and a heart for students.
Sophia Beharrie

Interim Director of Traditional Worship
Ms. Sophia Beharrie has been named Interim Director of Traditional Worship. In recent years, Sophia has sung with our Cathedral Choir and directed the Kirk Singer Musical, endearing herself to many in our congregation. She brings with her over 29 years of experience in music education and performance, holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Florida State University, and is a National Board Certified Teacher. She has led award-winning choirs at Dillard Center for the Performing Arts and now begins her next chapter at J.P. Taravella High School. Sophia’s faith, skill, and creativity will bless our traditional worship services and choral ministry.
