At First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale, our mission is to create spaces of Christ-centered connection and inspire people of all ages to explore faith in open and honest ways, cultivating possibilities for growth and transformation. The Coordinator for Church and Worship Ministry plays a vital role in helping us to live into that mission.
This position is more than administration; it’s ministry through hospitality, organization, and behind-the-scenes support. As the welcoming face of our church office, you will ensure that every guest, member, and volunteer experiences a gracious first impression. Through your work supporting our worship services, choirs, and concert series, you will help create the spaces where people encounter God’s presence, experience the joy of worship, and grow in faith.
What You’ll Do:
  • Provide administrative support to worship leaders for traditional and contemporary worship services, as well as adult, youth, and children’s choirs.
  • Assist with scheduling, communication, and preparation of worship materials so services run smoothly.
  • Help coordinate our concert series, including artist logistics, volunteer teams, and event promotion.
  • Support cross-department needs, from communications to membership, pastoral care, and finance.
  • Keep records, calendars, and ministry details organized so staff and volunteers can focus on ministry.
  • Welcome members, guests, and visitors with warmth, creating an environment of belonging from the moment they arrive or call.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A friendly, professional communicator who loves working with people.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new tools.
  • An appreciation for music and the arts, and a desire to see them flourish in worship and community life.
  • Experience in administrative, hospitality, or event coordination roles (church or nonprofit experience a plus).
  • A collaborative spirit and a heart for serving in a Christ-centered community.
Pay:
  • $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
