Lent Experience 2023:  Lent in Plain Sight
Church wide Lenten study: Wednesdays at 6:30pm. Journey through this Lenten season by experience how focusing on ten every-day objects can change our perspective and inspire spiritual growth. Contact Mona Petersen at 954-598-9345 or monap@firstpres.cc for more information.

  • 1st Session Lent Experience: March 1st at 6:30pm/Sanctuary
  • 2nd Session Lent Experience: March 8th at 6:30pm/Fellowship Hall

  • 4th Session Lent Experience: March 22nd at 6:30pm/Fellowship Hall

Holy Week Services

  • Maundy Thursday -  April 6th
    Tenebrae Service  at 7:30pm in the Sanctuary.
  • Good Friday - April 7th
    Service at 12pm in the Sanctuary, with lunch to follow at 12:30pm.
  • Easter Sunday Worship Services - April 9th
    8:00am: Sunrise service in Colee Hammock Park
    9:30am: Contemporary service in Fellowship Hall
    11:00am: Traditional service in the Sanctuary

Labyrinth Walk

This is a great opportunity for contemplation, meditation, illumination, prayer, and personal growth. At the beginning of the Lenten season, we hear a lot of folks talk about what they're going to give up, but the walk provides us with so much to gain! The walk will be available in the Fellowship Hall on the following dates:
  • April 4th from 11:00am - 2:00 pm & 5:00 - 7:00 pm 
  • April 5th- 6th from 11:00am - 2:00 pm & 5:00 - 8:00 pm 
  •  April 7th from 11:00 am - 1:30 pm


Cathedral Choir Concert – No Greater Love
Sunday, March 26th at 7pm
Join us for an imaginative Lenten concert experience for choirs and string orchestra that will transport you into an ethereal soundscape. This meditative program features Five Mystical Songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams and other selections by Dan Forrest, Elaine Hagenberg, & Howard Goodall to awaken the spirit and soothe the soul.

Family Concert - Mr. Verdi Goes to the Opera
Saturday, April 1 at 11am
Join the Master Chorale for a child-friendly program that takes a fun look at opera. You’ll be treated to arias and stories from some of the world’s favorite operas and hear from professional opera singers who sing for a living. Presented by the Master Chorale of South Florida. Congregational Care provides support, comfort, prayer and love during difficult times. At First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale, we believe in the power of caring and its ability to bring our faith alive. Whether you are in need of a little extra support or are facing a life challenge, you are not alone. Our staff and volunteers are devoted to walking with our community through their difficult seasons or with anyone in need of comfort and support.
