110 Years & Counting.
By the grace of God, First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale is celebrating 110 years of dynamic and influential ministry in our community, in southeast Florida, and in places and people all around the world. God has used our congregation to be the visible Presence of Jesus to our community. As we celebrate where we have been, we also look forward envisioning how God will continue to work in and through us.
Here are a few ways we seek to be the visible Presence of Jesus in our community:
Beloved, it is you who make all this possible! Your faithful generosity enables First Pres to be an effective witness of the Good News here and abroad. Your participation in the EOG process provides the foundation from which your church leadership builds the ministry budget for the coming year.
Together we are the hands, feet, and heart of our Lord Jesus Christ in this city. During our church's 110th anniversary year, let’s all commit to growing our seeds of faith a little deeper in the soil as we begin to dream together about the NEXT 110 years!

Here are a few ways we seek to be the visible Presence of Jesus in our community:
- Kids, youth, and college students will engage with God thanks to the most incredible Children’s, Youth, and College Ministry volunteers and staff.
- Community will experience the love and beauty of God through the vibrant worship and music of the multi-generational choir ministries of the church.
- Men and women will begin the process of recovery and restoration through support services and church fellowship.
- Homelessness will have access to resources, clothing, and support services through the direct work of First Presbyterian and our community partnerships.
- Community food insecurity will be provided meals through the outreach and generosity of this congregation.
- Families in our city that are at risk of being broken apart will receive the support and education to build healthy family systems, assess underlying needs, and encourage constructive family decision-making all in an effort to attain self-sufficiency.
- Our church community will deepen their faith, learning to see, speak and fellowship in whole new ways.
- Many in our church will experience the congregational care needed at the death of a loved-one, an unplanned medical finding, or any emotional and spiritual crises they undergo.
