Whether it be small groups, retreats, lock-ins, weekly bible studies, mission trips, or our music ministry - all of these are intended to help us grow in our relationship with God and others. Summer Highlights
The summer is shaping up to be a very exciting one for the Youth Department and the Youth and College Committee. Here are some of the upcoming highlights for your information and to pass along to any interested youth or parents. Please pass along to Ben or Nic any questions or concerns you or others have.

2010 High School Mission Trip (July 11, 2010-July 17, 2010) The High School Youth Group will be going to Copperhill, Tennessee. The youth group will be engaged in meaningful hands-on mission projects, exciting music and programs, and group-building high adventure activities. Local churches and missions will also be served as groups lend a hand to help maintain and improve their facilities. $90 deposit for High School Mission Trip due immediately. The total cost of the trip is $285 per participant. Mandatory 2010 High School Mission Trip Parent Meeting - June 13, 2010 6:30 PM at FPC

2010 Presbyterian Youth Triennium (July 20, 2010-July 24, 2010) FPC is sending Erika Oakvik (a rising high school senior and very involved youth member) to attend the 2010 Presbyterian Youth Triennium. Erika expressed a great interest in going, was then nominated by our Youth Department and selected by the Presbytery of Tropical Florida to be a delegate to the 2010 Presbyterian Youth Triennium! Here is a little bit about the conference: The Presbyterian Youth Triennium is an event sponsored by the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Cumberland Presbyterian Churches (CPC and CPCA) for the purpose of gathering Presbyterian and Reformed young people from all over the United States and the world together for worship, prayer, play and community. The Triennium also hosts Global Partners, youth from the Presbyterian Church in Canada, ecumenical guests and hundreds of volunteers! Participants must be entering high school (approximately 15 years old and no older than 19 years old. Theme: The theme for the 2010 Triennium is “For Such a Time As This” Place: The Triennium will be held on the campus of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.

2010 New Wilmington Mission Conference (July 24, 2010-July 31, 2010) FPC, with the use of Great Commission Fund and the help of Tim Dobbins and the Mission Department, is sending Zach Dudas and Dom Baugus to the 2010 New Wilmington Mission Conference. This is a week-long, multi-generational, PCUSA-related mission conference focused on service projects, Bible and mission study and fellowship.

2010 Middle School Great Escape - Southwind Camp (August 2, 2010-August 6, 2010) The Middle School Youth Group will attend Southwind Camp near Ocala, Florida. The camp will focus on recreation, fellowship and deepening our faith in Jesus Christ. In additional, several High School Youth Group members will be serving as counselors. $90 deposit for Middle School Great Escape due immediately. The total cost of the trip is $400 per participant. Mandatory 2010 Middle School Great Escape Parent Meeting - sometime in July 2010.
