What does it mean to be a Steward? It refers to the responsibility given to manage and increase something of value. It is a position requiring important decisions over how resources are protected and allocated.
God chose you before your were even born. He gave you unique talents and abilities to use for his glory here on earth. Everything in heaven and earth belongs to Our Father. While we are here, we need to thank God for our gifts and seriously ponder the ways we can manage that which has been granted to our care.
By making wise use of our financial and material resources, as well as nurturing talents and relationships that can be used to further His kingdom, we are practicing Stewardship.
Take time to develop this aspect of your spiritual health. By taking this responsibility seriously you free yourself from the worries of this temporal world and acknowledge the source of all your blessings.
Consider the many opportunities afforded you at First Presbyterian Church to use your Time / Talents / Treasures.
