Disaster Relief
Disaster Relief has become an unfortunate theme as of late but First Presbyterian is in the center of the recovery as we work for each other for the church and the community at large.

Haiti
Haiti was our first destination for mission and calls us again to respond to the terrible devastation wreaked by the January earthquake. Our immediate goal is to help with the restoration. But at the same time we are in discussion with the leaders of the country about the revitalization of Hospital Sainte Croix, a cornerstone of the recovery and an opportunitiy for extended ministry to the people of this land.

Programa Amazonia
Our longest and personally most rewarding partnership has been with the ministers of the Independent Presbyterian Church in Brazil as we have reached out to serveral villages and farming areas along the Amazon River both up and down stream from Manaus. What a joy it has been to share the love of Christ and the healing skills of doctors and dentists on our teams. How rich it has become to join hearts with Reverendo Claudio and Dona Marta to see bodies and souls healed together.
