Boy Scout Troop 190

Boy Scout Troop 190 currently has 18 active Scouts, ranging in age from 11 to 17. The Troop meets every Thursday at First Presbyterian Church.
The Troop participates in a variety of activities which teach these young men skills including leadership, teamwork, character building and personal fitness, among others. Since its inception, more than 40 scouts from Troop 190 have earned their Eagle Scout rank, the highest rank achievable by youth in scouting.
Troop 190 activities include: Local campouts 6-8 times a year to numerous campgrounds in South Florida, such as Camp Sawyer in the Florida Keys, Camp Tonakeetah in Jupiter/Tequesta, Camp Oklawaha in Sebastian, and Camp Flaming Arrow in Lake Wales.
One week of Boy Scout summer camp to locations such as Camp Daniel Boone in North Carolina and Camp Rainy Mountain in Georgia, at which the Scouts participate in and earn merit badges toward Eagle Scout rank.
Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser held at First Presbyterian Church on a Saturday night in April at which the Scouts serve the dinner. Additional highlights of the Dinner include chances to win raffle baskets, silent auction items and door prizes.
A variety of volunteer opportunities such as selling programs at the Scottish Games Festival @ Lockhart Stadium in January, and the Basket Brigade Thanksgiving basket assembly for the Children's Diagnostic and Treatment Center (CDTC).
Pasta fundraiser in the fall in which the scouts sell gourmet pastas and earn money to pay for campouts during the year.
